The Company in Brief

Kouvola Innovation Ltd is an economic development company owned by the City of Kouvola. The aim of the company established in the beginning of 2009 is to contribute
to sustainable development of the business sector in Kouvola to become the most magnetic and dynamic business environment in south-eastern Finland.

As an economic policy actor in Kouvola the company produces services in accordance with the economic development strategy of the City of Kouvola, develops business services, assists networking with other companies, and is also responsible
for the economical marketing of the region as a whole.

As its priority actions Kouvola Innovation has set the structural change of the business sector of the Kouvola region, to support small and medium size businesses and entrepreneurship, and to develop revenue of tourism and the business environment
of the region.

The company operates in five key business areas: business, tourism, logistics, real estate and development services. In accordance with the economic development strategy, development services are focusing its activities on development projects of the following sectors: forest-energy-environment, information-communication operations, tourism-leisure, logistic operations and development projects regardless of sector.
